Gulf lubricated and liveried Aston Martins take secure second successive double podium in LM GTE Am category at Spa.
The second round of the 2014 World Endurance Championship saw a second successive double podium for Gulf and Aston Martin Racing as the 95 car has of Richie Stanaway, Kristian Poulsen and David Heinemeier-Hansson finished second, followed closely home by its sister 98 car of Christoffer Nygaard, Paul Dalla Lana and Pedro Lamy, in what was, once again, an incredibly hard fought and competitive class.
This result leaves Gulf’s motorsport partners, Aston Martin Racing leading both the teams’ and drivers’ standings in LM GTE Am.
Darren Turner, Stefan Mücke and Bruno Senna, in the 97 car came home in fourth place in a very closely fought LM GTE Pro battle, followed by the 99 car of Alex Macdowell, Darryl O’ Young and Fernando Rees in fifth.
The WEC teams now start their preparations for the next round in the series, the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours, which takes place over the weekend of June 14/15.
