GULF GIVES THE HANCOX’S ‘TIME TO CRUISE’

It’s not every day that filling your car with petrol leads to winning a holiday of a lifetime.  Yet this is what happened to lucky Gulf customer, Peter Hancox, from Exmouth who refuelled his car at his local Gulf branded Service Station on the Salterton Road and entered the ‘Win a holiday’ competition running at Gulf forecourts nationwide.

Since learning of his good fortune, Peter is now happily planning his luxury family holiday on a luxury cruise exploring the Mediterranean.

To enter the ‘Win a holiday’ competition, customers needed to spend £25 on fuel at any participating Gulf filling station and input the receipt details online or by text.  Peter’s name was selected at random as the winner of this fabulous prize.  To claim his prize, Peter needed to provide proof of purchase, which fortunately he was able to do!

Competition winner, Peter Hancox, commented, “When I first heard I’d won I was delighted. After the initial excitement, the reality of the situation sank in when I realised the competition was advertised for a touring holiday in California, which is fabulous in principle, but not so for me.  I’m not a big fan of flying. After discussing the options with my wife, we proposed an alternative solution to Gulf. I was so relieved to be told that it was no problem; we can choose what we want to do, where and when.  So, we’ve now planned an all-expenses-paid cruise around the Mediterranean which is something I’ve always dreamed of.  Luxury on water with my family, with no flying; perfect!  Thank you Gulf!”
