Evolo rapid charge lands in Ebbw Vale
The first Evolo charging hub is now open at the Gulf service station in Ebbw Vale – Evolo’s first owned and operated charging hub!
Located close to the busy A4046 and just two miles from the Brecon Beacons National Park, Gulf Ebbw Vale already attracts hundreds of drivers per week – and the arrival of rapid charging is only set to improve its appeal.
Responding to demand
The new Evolo charging hub has arrived at the perfect time. Electric cars accounted for 23.4% of all new registrations in 2025 (source: Zapmap.com), and in 2026, it’s predicted that these figures will continue to soar. That’s why the need for fast, on-the-go charging hubs is essential – and Evolo is meeting this demand in partnership with Gulf.
Charging made easy
Each unit has the ability to deliver rapid charging of up to 150kW, and while it doesn’t take long to complete a full charge, having the Gulf site right there is a great way to pass the time. You can grab a Reviva Coffee while you wait, which is crafted by a specialist small-batch roaster in the UK and delivers a rich, full-flavoured coffee. Combine it with some snacks from the store and get back on the road, fuelled for the journey.
Plus, there are a range of easy payment options to choose from using the HD touch screens, including by card or via the Evolo App.
