Strong business growth for Gulf-branded forecourt in Tibshelf, Alfreton
When ex commission operator, Nithu chose Gulf Retail as its fuel supplier at High Street Garage in Tibshelf, its weekly fuel volume was 26,000l. Today it stands at 36,000l, a jump of almost 40%.
Resplendent in its ‘new wave’ Gulf livery, the drive for further growth continues both on the forecourt and in store. The Go Local shop has grown from £8k to £20k a week over the same period.

The image, the Oomph loyalty promotion, strong margins and the cross acceptance of Shell and BP fuel cards all play their part in the success of our business. We have seen similar results at our other Gulf forecourt, Renishaw Service Station, Sheffield.”
Both sites offer the ‘Go Local’ brand of the Parfetts symbol group. Parfetts flexibility and a strong emphasis upon frequent promotions has proved itself with shop sales more than doubling across the two sites since renovation. “Our shop and forecourt brands are strong and the changes we are making to both forecourts are fully embraced by the local communities. Both sites have an extensive alcohol range, Rijo coffee machine, Food to Go, chilled beverages and a Hermes parcel facility. Our commitment to investment and establishing new product lines continues!
